About ABD

wHO WE ARE

The Animal Biology Division follows the University’s thrust on academic, research, and extension. ABD produces world-class graduates in the field of Zoology and Wildlife Biology. The division has active collaboration with international and national universities and research institutes on its academic, research, and extension activities.

ABD is under the Institute of Biological Sciences, which is a recipient of the CHED National Center of Excellence in Biology and an accredited member of the ASEAN University Network (AUN).

Division Objectives

To address the growing need toward broad-scale multidisciplinary programs in Biology, ABD has consolidated its effort to produce graduates in the field of Zoology and Wildlife Biology who are:

  1. Imbued with a culture of excellence, discipline and competence in the ethical practice of animal biology and other related fields, and a spirit of volunteerism;
  2. Highly motivated, creative, well-honed in research, and able to rise to challenges;
  3. Abreast with current developments and cutting edge technologies; and
  4. Active participants in the pursuit of national, regional (ASEAN), and global developments in Biology.
